Sharp (libvips) for JPG / PNG / WebP / AVIF. ImageMagick + libheif for iPhone HEIC. EXIF gets stripped on the way through.
Originals and resized copies are deleted from the server within 10 minutes. Always.
Width in pixels. The image height adjusts to keep your original proportions. So 1200px wide on a 4:3 photo becomes 1200×900. Set 1200, get back something that fits comfortably on a laptop screen or in a slide deck.
Yes. We detect HEIC input and route it through libheif. The output drops to JPG (HEIC isn't readable on most non-Apple platforms anyway, which is usually why you're resizing).
EXIF metadata — GPS coordinates, camera serial, capture timestamp, the lot. For most "send these to a client" use cases that's what you want. If you need EXIF preserved, that's a paid workflow request.
No hard cap. Each file under 25 MB. We rate-limit at five every 30 seconds, so big batches just take a beat. The tab can stay backgrounded.
Most web/print use cases are width-anchored — column widths, slide widths, social-post widths. Aspect ratio handles the rest. If you need exact-height or bounding-box behaviour, we have that on the authed side; ask.
