libheif decodes each one. ImageMagick re-encodes to your chosen format. Processed one-by-one to be polite.
Originals and converted copies are deleted from the server within 10 minutes. Always.
No hard cap, but each file must be under 25 MB and we rate-limit at five conversions every 30 seconds. If you queue more than that, the extras wait. Tab can stay open in the background.
HEIC is Apple's photo format. Same image data, ~50% smaller files. Trouble is most Windows, Android, and old browsers can't read it. JPG is the lowest common denominator.
They land on a Brisbane VPS, get converted, get deleted within 10 minutes. We don't log them, train on them, or share them. The stack is open-source: libheif + ImageMagick + sharp.
No catch. We built this for ourselves and put a free copy on the internet. If you want batch processing via API, this running on your own domain, or done-for-you workflow setup — that's where we charge.
